Installing your battery

  1. Install the battery according to your motorcycle manufacturer’s instructions.
  2. Check the motorcycles electrical system with a voltmeter before installation.
  3. We recommend that you fully charge your battery before connecting it to your motorcycle’s terminals.
  4. We provide foam with the battery that you can use to ensure a secure and perfect fit.

Charging your battery

A useful feature of your Provacell battery is a multi-light indicator of the battery’s state of charge:

  • One light showing, signals an immediate charge is necessary.
  • Two lights on signals a 50% capacity, battery is still available for cranking vehicle and a charge is not generally required.
  • When three lights are on, battery is in perfect condition and ready to go.

Your lithium battery will be harmed by excessive charging and deep discharge, just like any other type of battery. Make sure the charging voltage is never higher than 14V and never lower than 15V. When it comes to the battery, you shouldn't allow the idle voltage to drop below 12.8V.

As long as the charge voltage stays below 15V, these batteries may be rapidly charged due to their incredibly thin plates and distinctive electrolyte architecture.

Prior to delivery, Provacell batteries are pre-charged to 80% of their maximum capacity. These batteries can be held for a longer period of time before needing to be recharged because lithium technology has a lower self-discharge rate than lead-acid battery types.

Press the indicator button on the top of the battery to verify the battery's level of charge. It is advisable to unplug the motorcycle's battery entirely if you plan to leave it unused for longer than two weeks in order to avoid over discharge. To keep the battery maintained for extended periods of time, you can utilise the Provacell HyperCharge which is specifically designed to optimise all automotive battery types.
